About The Position

At Gallagher Bassett, the Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster helps clients and claimants navigate challenging moments by managing workers’ compensation lost-time claims. The role is open to remote work and handles claims in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Vermont. The posting lists licenses for Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The adjuster investigates, evaluates, and resolves complex claims; analyzes exposure and determines appropriate courses of action; communicates with the parties involved in the claims process; and provides empathetic customer service to claimants on clients’ behalf. The role works in partnership with clients to develop solutions and improve claims management, while handling claims in accordance with client and corporate policies, procedures, applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. The adjuster documents and communicates claim activity in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Minimum of 3 years of related claims experience.
Appropriate license and/or certification in all states in which claims are handled; the posting lists Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont licenses.
Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
Computer experience with related claims and business software.
