About The Position
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Workers Compensation team in the Naples office. The attorney will support other attorneys with a heavy and complex workers compensation caseload, learn the firm’s approach to handling these cases and maximizing results for claimants, and work alongside trial attorneys with access to litigation resources and case-management software.
Requirements
- Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar Association.
- At least 1 year of workers compensation experience.
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases through the full life cycle.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.
Nice To Haves
- Multiple state bar licenses preferred.
Responsibilities
- Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, demands, motions, and memoranda.
- Guide claimants through the case process.
- Interact with expert witnesses, including conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and appearances.
