This is an immediate need for a Sr. Workday HRIS Payroll Manager to set up maintenance, optimization, reporting, testing, troubleshooting, process improvements, data integrity, system security and year-end support for a multi-billion dollar industry leader. The role involves supporting system integrations to ensure proper control, while recommending and establishing new controls as needed. This is a 6-month contract hybrid assignment, requiring onsite presence 1-2 days per week in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate should possess a balance of HR and IT expertise with strong configuration experience, as the current challenge is finding candidates who are not too heavily skewed towards one side without the necessary configuration skills. The position leads the end-to-end implementation of Workday Payroll, with the Project Manager (PM) ensuring a seamless end-user experience and processes. The Payroll PM will collaborate with broader workstreams to assess process impacts from various internal customer perspectives and work on best practices and processes for change management.
