About The Position

The Department for Education is seeking a Workday Integration Specialist for an initial five-month, Inside IR35 contract. The role is part of the Workday Development Team and focuses primarily on configuring the Workday element of the Workday–ServiceNow integration, with possible support for other integration workstreams. The position is hybrid, requiring two days per week in London, Manchester, or Sheffield, and can only be worked from within the UK. The post holder will work with Tech Group and the ESM project to understand requirements, assess them against the DfE Workday tenant, and advise on security implications. This includes reviewing domain security policies and related security objects, creating integration system users, administering security assignments, and providing XPATH values to technical colleagues. The specialist will configure the integration and oversee testing, issue resolution, and the test/fix/retest cycle before production deployment. The specialist will build an understanding of the Workday tenant, business objects, data structures, and HR data security requirements; gather and analyse requirements; advise on Workday capabilities and best practices; plan delivery; collaborate with Cyber Security; assess data and security impacts; and design, configure, and build integrations.
