Senior Managers serve in an outward-facing, hands-on, and multi-faceted role combining project and engagement management, team leadership and material interaction with clients at both tactical and strategic levels. While activities vary based on project size/scope and individual skill-sets and strengths, the Senior Manager can expect to spend considerable time on client-facing engagements through all project phases (pursuit to delivery), project management, and intensive data-analysis to implement impactful recommendations. Additionally, Senior Managers time will revolve around overall practice development, the mentorship of Coachees (when assigned), and general project/organizational administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in Workday and the Healthcare industry.
  • Experience and extensive knowledge in most of the Workday financial functional areas including but not limited to: FDM/Financial Accounting, Business Assets, Projects, Banking and Settlement.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written.
  • Interpersonal skills needed quickly to establish relationships of trust and collaboration.
  • Ability to establish credibility in the eyes of senior-level, financially literate university and hospital executives, including those that lead the sponsored research functions, on the basis of expertise, maturity, and professionalism.
  • Ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff in both project or workstream management and technical dimensions.
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of differing scale and duration.
  • Strong analytical skills used to translate information from meetings into documentation that can be shared with meeting participants and project teams.
  • Desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday Certification or equivalent practical experience in one or more of the following; Grants Management, Financial Accounting, Business Assets, Procure to Pay, Supplier Accounts.
  • Experience leading Workday Financials design and customer confirmation sessions.
  • Experience configuring all aspects of Workday Financials and the related Customer Accounts functionality.
  • Experience configuring or a deep understanding of Workday Payroll Accounting and Effort Certification.
  • Experience with project or workstream planning and management.
  • Proven thought leadership as indicated by speaking engagements and/or publications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project leadership for a specific client project Workday implementation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across Workday Financial modules.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through design, build, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Manage client-facing engagements through all project phases (pursuit to delivery).
  • Perform project management.
  • Conduct intensive data-analysis to implement impactful recommendations.
  • Engage in overall practice development.
  • Mentor Coachees (when assigned).
  • Perform general project/organizational administrative tasks.
