About The Position

This role involves leading process design and configuration within Workday Financials, specifically focusing on the Record to Report (R2R) workstreams. The consultant will collaborate with finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams, guide design decisions, challenge legacy processes, and implement solutions aligned with Workday best practices and finance transformation goals. The position requires a strong understanding of Workday Financials/FDM, R2R expertise, and the ability to advise clients on industry standards. Responsibilities include leading design, configuration, and delivery of R2R workstreams, identifying business requirements, functional and process design, prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures. The role also involves architecting Workday R2R solutions, demonstrating design options, applying Accenture methodologies, and mentoring junior analysts. Travel may be required based on business needs.

Requirements

• Active Workday Financials Partner Certification
• Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience, most recently in a Consultant, or similar level role
• Minimum of 3 years of hands on Workday Financials R2R experience
• Minimum of 3 years of US and/or Global Financials Operations
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years). (If Associates Degree, must have minimum 6 years of work experience)

Nice To Haves

• Hold an advanced degree or professional certification in Finance or Accounting (CPA, CMA, or equivalent)
• Hold certifications or have hands-on configuration experience across additional Workday Financials modules including Procure to Pay, Contract to Cash, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cash Management, or Grants
• 3+ years prior experience implementing Workday with a certified Workday implementer
• Client-facing experience in Healthcare, Financial Services, Insurance, or Retail.
• Prior ERP or SaaS financial application experience outside of Workday — such as Oracle Fusion, SAP, NetSuite, or Lawson

Responsibilities

• Lead/Support the design, configuration, and delivery of Workday Financials Record to Report workstreams
• Identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures
• Lead the design, configuration, and delivery of Workday Financials Record to Report workstreams
• Support the Financials Lead in architecting Workday R2R solutions to ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated
• Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices
• Demonstrate design options through the use of prototyping
• Understand and apply Workday and Accenture methodologies in project delivery
• Mentor Junior analysts on project delivery and system solution approaches
