Workday Certified Financial Architect
About The Position
Accenture is hiring a Workday Financial Architect to lead complex Workday Financials implementations, optimization programs, and transformation initiatives. The role provides finance technology thought leadership, advises clients on industry standards and leading practices, and represents functional solution architecture across multidisciplinary project teams. The architect leads solution discussions spanning Financials Management, Procurement, Projects, Reporting, Accounting Center, Treasury, and Integrations, while managing delivery scope, quality, risks, and performance. The role also includes developing consultants and managers, supporting practice growth through recruiting and capability development, and leading business development activities such as account planning, solutioning, proposals, estimates, statements of work, and executive presentations. The architect drives innovation through accelerators, assets, methodologies, and industry-specific solutions, and supports growth across Public Sector, Higher Education, Healthcare, Financial Services, and Retail. Travel may be required, ranging from 0% to 100% depending on business and client needs.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience delivering finance transformation and financial ERP solutions, including leading large-scale enterprise implementations.
- At least 8 years of Workday Financials implementation experience, including leading multiple end-to-end deployments.
- Active Workday Financials Partner Certification in current standing; Record to Report and Foundation Data Model certifications are required.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing consulting teams across geographically distributed engagements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; the posting specifies a minimum of 12 years of work experience, or a minimum of 6 years with an associate's degree.

Nice To Haves
- Established network with Workday Account Executives and Alliance leadership, used to support pipeline development or co-selling.
- Experience with global or multi-entity implementations involving cross-border complexity, such as multi-currency, intercompany, or statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience with complementary platforms such as Adaptive Planning, Workday Prism, Blackline, or Coupa in an integrated financial architecture.
- Experience across multiple industries, particularly financial services, insurance, healthcare, or retail.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership on how finance technology can transform organizations and enable business value.
- Lead complex Workday Financials implementations, optimization programs, and transformation initiatives.
- Manage large, multidisciplinary project teams and oversee scope, quality, risks, and delivery performance.
- Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices to maximize Workday platform value.
- Represent the functional solution within project leadership and coordinate with PMO, Technical, Data, Delivery, and Financial Advisory workstreams to align program goals, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Lead solution architecture discussions across Financials Management, Procurement, Projects, Reporting, Accounting Center, Treasury, and Integrations.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior consultants and managers.
- Support practice growth through recruiting, capability development, asset creation, and thought leadership.
- Lead business development activities, including account planning, solutioning, proposals, estimations, SOW development, and executive presentations.
- Develop accelerators, assets, methodologies, and industry-specific solutions.
- Support strategic growth initiatives across Public Sector, Higher Education, Healthcare, Financial Services, and Retail.
- Travel as required by business needs and client requirements.
