About The Position

Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments, is seeking to hire a Workday Architect to join our growing team! In this role, you will serve as the Workday systems subject matter expert and primary contact for day-to-day support of Workday business processes, integrations, reporting, dashboards, configuration, and Adaptive Planning to ensure consistent and high-quality business operations.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Workday reporting, such as Advanced Reporting and OfficeConnect.
  • 5+ years of experience in Workday Finance and/or HCM, with strong knowledge of the all-around architecture of the platform.
  • Experience with Workday Implementation, Stabilization, and Optimization
  • Strong understanding of Workday Integrations and Securities in Enterprise-Level environments
  • Proficiency in Workday security and role-based permissions management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven record of accomplishment of effectively interfacing, training, and presenting information to multiple levels of an organization.
  • Experience with Workday integrations, including web services, EIBs, and connectors.
  • General knowledge and understanding of data security and consumer privacy standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Workday Pro certification in Finance, HCM, Securities, Integrations, or other Workday modules strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Workday Architect Managing securities, integrations, and other related platforms across Workday
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations related to financial data within Workday.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into Workday system requirements.
  • Adhere to Workday best practices, including data governance, security and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and documentation to support business operations and decision-making.
  • Partner with IT and stakeholder teams to test, deploy and maintain system updates and enhancements. Review upgrade documentation and ensure existing processes will continue to operate as expected.
  • Assist in managing test environment(s) and ensure system changes are vetted before being placed into a production environment.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within Workday Financials or HCM by conducting regular audits and data analysis.
  • Analyze data and configuration changes to support the financial audit.
  • Respond quickly to complex situations that arise, resolve technical system issues, while also making recommendations for improvements.
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve policy and process acumen; provide training and support to users as needed and contribute to a culture of continuous education.
  • Provide insights on current and emerging Workday functionality and propose changes and enhancements to optimize the Workday system.
  • Lead Workday IT projects and participate and collaborate in cross-functional projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
