About The Position

AG Consulting Partners is building a consultant pipeline for current and future client engagements, seeking experienced professionals with backgrounds in Project or Program Management, Change Management, Business Analysis, Data Migration, Training Consultants, Business Transformation, and related disciplines, with a specific focus on Workday ERP implementations. The company offers W2 employment for consultants in Washington State and Texas, and also partners with professionals nationwide through 1099 and/or LLC engagements. The job description represents a blend of skills and responsibilities commonly requested by clients across technology, retail, public sector, and AI industries. Qualified candidates may be considered for future engagements as they become available. Work arrangements vary by client and may be remote, hybrid, or onsite. Consultants must be willing to support evolving client requirements, including onsite collaboration or return-to-office expectations when applicable.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in business transformation, ERP implementation, management consulting, or large-scale process improvement.
  • Experience supporting Workday or a comparable enterprise ERP implementation across functions such as HR, payroll, finance, procurement, or reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing current-state operations and designing standardized future-state business processes.
  • Experience working within the public sector or with state, local, federal, higher-education, or similarly regulated organizations.
  • Strong understanding of public-sector governance, compliance, procurement, and stakeholder-management considerations.
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements, process flows, decisions, risks, dependencies, and action items.
  • Proven ability to work independently, influence without authority, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct Workday implementation experience within a large public-sector organization.
  • Workday certification or hands-on experience with Workday HCM, Financial Management, Payroll, Procurement, or Reporting.
  • Experience working with system integrators and cross-functional implementation teams.
  • Familiarity with public-sector accessibility, data privacy, audit, records-retention, or regulatory requirements.
  • Certifications such as Prosci, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or a related transformation credential.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with agency leaders, functional teams, and implementation partners to translate operational needs into future-state Workday processes.
  • Leading current-state assessments and future-state design sessions across areas such as finance, HR, payroll, procurement, and reporting.
  • Identifying process gaps, dependencies, risks, and policy considerations that could affect implementation readiness.
  • Facilitating stakeholder workshops, documenting business requirements, and driving decisions across multiple agencies or departments.
  • Supporting organizational change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption planning.
  • Coordinating testing, data validation, deployment readiness, and issue resolution to ensure the Workday solution meets business and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing executive-ready updates that clearly communicate progress, risks, decisions, and recommended next steps.
  • Helping establish standardized processes while accounting for the governance, compliance, and operational complexities of the public sector.
