About The Position

The Workday Administrator II plays a pivotal role in analyzing, configuring, and optimizing our cloud-based Workday ERP system. This role involves not only system maintenance and troubleshooting, but also the development and enhancement of business processes within the system. The administrator is a problem-solver, using their expertise in Workday and deep knowledge of a specific functional area to propose and implement business process changes to resolve complex business challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience working with ERP platforms such as Workday, Salesforce, PeopleSoft, or Oracle.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday security modules, preferably Financials (FIN), including roles, permissions, and access controls; or familiarity with UCF financial processes and concepts such as departmental spending and budgeting.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to independently analyze and resolve challenging problems with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with different groups across varying priorities.
  • Previous experience in technical writing or documentation, with the ability to clearly communicate complex systems and processes to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate professionally and respond courteously to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with security principles, best practices, and regulatory compliance; demonstrated ability to identify access or process misalignments.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Workday ERP system.
  • Configure the Workday ERP system according to functional and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate data mapping and data conversion.
  • Configure and test business processes and workflows within the Workday ERP System.
  • Monitor system performance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and conduct regular system audits to assess data integrity.
  • Address system and data integrity issues in collaboration with other IT teams and business partners.
  • Coordinate system upgrades and maintenance activities for the specific functional areas of responsibility.
  • Support projects to address business problems, improve system efficiency and functionality.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
  • Mentor and guide student apprentices.
  • Mentor and guide colleagues with less experience.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for system enhancements, facilitate governance, prioritize tasks, propose solutions, and facilitate decisions.
  • Document tasks, decisions, requirements, and progress in work management system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
