About The Position

Temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position available in Accounting and Finance. The Department of Accounting and Finance in the College of Business Administration (CBA) is seeking one Federal Work Study Student Assistant to provide general administrative and clerical support to department faculty and students under the direction of the administrative department staff.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
  • Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and visitors, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to perform routine data entry.
  • Ability to follow instructions, organize and maintain documents, and complete assignments accurately and timely.
  • Ability to work cooperatively, provide general office and event support, and maintain a dependable work schedule that accommodates both the student’s academic schedule and department needs.
  • Applicants will be required to disclose whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years before an offer of employment is extended.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting emails, communications to students and faculty, answering phones and directing inquiries.
  • Assisting with events and activities, updating bulletin boards and departmental materials.
  • Organizing and maintaining documents and files, and performing basic data entry using Microsoft Excel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
