About The Position

The Work Coordinator supporting Relay will schedule and manage the day to day relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders in order to manage project dates, schedule resources, ensure work progression and deliver appropriate solutions to effectively meet/exceed Customers expectations and fulfill capital project in-service requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years’ equivalent work experience in a process-oriented function such as, billing, accounts receivable, administrative work or construction areas of a utility.
  • Experience with relevant software such as Microsoft Office products and possess the ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work shifts which may include working nights and/or weekends as needed and during storm restoration.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving record.
  • Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in reading, interpreting and managing project and program schedules.
  • Knowledge of electric utility related work.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with electric transmission and distribution systems.
  • Some positions at PSEG require access to information covered by the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 (Part 810). Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to understand project dates, schedule resources, ensure work progression and deliver appropriate solutions in line with policies and processes.
  • Work directly with first line Supervisors to update weekly relay schedule and enter into scheduling tool (Access Database), to achieve maximum job efficiencies, for capital and maintenance jobs
  • Manage backlog of work available and prioritized contingency work, in order to capitalize on opportunities to achieve safety, efficiency, reliability, and financial goals
  • Attend work plan and clearance meetings to discuss aggregate workload, and make adjustments as needed
  • Create and close work orders, as needed, for corrective maintenance jobs in SAP Asset Management System
  • Act as a point of contact for Relay department internal customers, Substation Maintenance, OH/UG Lines, Electric Service and other work groups as necessary, to effectively execute work plan.
  • Effectively communicate scheduled priorities and changes across the different lines of business
  • Write clearances for Transmission and Distribution Operations to be reviewed and submitted for work to be completed in the field
  • Dispatch field personnel, as required, during storm restoration events.
