About The Position

A work control clerk is responsible for organizing work orders, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately, tracking the progress of work activities, and coordinating with different departments to maintain efficient workflow within a facility.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required
  • High School Degree, or equivalent required
  • Experience in the Maintenance arena, equivalent skills preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • advanced training a plus.
  • Previous Maximo experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Open/close jobs, order parts, track parts, enter man-hours, etc.
  • Provide information relative to progress and completion of work orders.
  • Participate in and assists in preparation of maintenance reports and statistical performance data, when required.
  • Coordinate with Shop Supply and Material Expediting personnel to ensure adequate repair parts and supplies are available to support maintenance requirements.
  • Update and retrieve equipment record data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, be willing to work rotating shifts, and maintain a harmonic working relationship with all levels of management and co-workers.
  • Ensures adherence to safety regulations and company procedures related to work orders.
  • Produces reports on work order completion rates, backlog, and other key performance indicators.
