About The Position

Harrison Steel is hiring a Wood Pattern Maker for its pattern shop. The role builds metal, plastic, and primarily wood patterns and core boxes used in manufacturing operations. It uses a variety of hand and power tools and contributes to planning the construction of new parts. The employee works alongside master pattern makers and can develop woodworking skills while learning from experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Good problem-solving skills and knowledge of safety practices.
• High level of personal accountability.

Nice To Haves

• Previous woodworking experience and/or blueprint-reading experience is preferred.
• Experience with, or the ability to learn, operating a CNC 5-axis router using Mastercam is beneficial.
