About The Position

The Wood Finisher performs finishing and painting on furniture units using kits of components that have already been prepared and tailored for finishing. The role is with Holly Hunt, which designs, produces, and showcases custom-made furniture products. The position is hourly and located in Farmers Branch, Texas.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of previous experience with wood-finishing techniques, including oil- and water-based staining, toning, sealing, top coating, sanding, and buffing.
• Ability to read and understand mixing specifications.
• Proficiency with spraying guns, spraying booths, sanders, polishing machines, and hand tools.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver flawless results.
• Ability to communicate with multiple levels within an organization and work as a team member.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED), or work experience demonstrating performance competency.

Responsibilities

• Finish products according to the production schedule.
• Meet critical product characteristics and match colors to the master sample.
• Keep the work station clean, organized, and safe.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain an accurate time sheet and submit it on time.
• Follow company policies and standard practices.
• Participate in required continuous improvement activities.
