About The Position

Holly Hunt designs, produces, and showcases custom-made furniture products. The Wood Finisher performs finishing and painting on furniture units made from kits of components that have already been prepared for finishing. The position is hourly and located in Farmers Branch, Texas.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with wood-finishing techniques, including oil- and water-based staining, toning, sealing, top coating, sanding, and buffing.
• Ability to read and understand mixing specifications.
• Proficiency with equipment and hand tools such as spray guns, spray booths, sanders, and polishing machines.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce flawless results.
• Ability to communicate with multiple levels within an organization and work as a team member.
• High school diploma or GED, or work experience demonstrating performance competency.

Responsibilities

• Finish products according to the production schedule.
• Meet critical product characteristics and match colors to the master sample.
• Keep the workstation clean, organized, and safe.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate timesheets and submit them on time.
• Follow company policies and standard practices.
• Participate in required continuous improvement activities.
