About The Position

This is an outpatient coverage need for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). The role involves providing comprehensive care to adult patients, including OB visits, IUD insertions/removals, endometrial biopsies, general GYN complaints, annual women's health exams, and mental health screenings. The average patient load is 12 patients per day. The position is for ongoing coverage due to a long-term permanent search. The EMR system used is EPIC. Credentialing typically takes 90 days.

Requirements

  • Active Washington licensure
  • Board certification
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 1-year Women's Health experience or equivalent
  • Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Washington
  • National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP])
  • Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Washington
  • National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics)
  • Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
  • Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
  • Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
