About The Position

The Women's Design Summer Internship supports the Express brand at PHOENIX Retail, LLC, a retail platform operating the Express and Bonobos brands. The PHOENIX Internship Program is a paid, 10-week program for rising junior and senior undergraduates and graduate students. Interns gain hands-on experience, collaborate across functions, and develop professional skills while learning from experienced professionals. Program activities include professional-skills workshops, networking and mentorship opportunities, a cross-functional group project, group outings, social events, and volunteer opportunities. The 2027 program runs from June 2 to August 5 and is based at the New York office. Interns must work 40 hours per week, follow the four-days-in-office approach, relocate to the office location, and commit to the full program. Housing accommodations are not provided. The stated pay range is $23.00–$30.00. Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States; the company does not sponsor work visas for this position.

Responsibilities

Identify trends and samples that can be adapted to represent trends for Express.
Create AI images using Gemini that accurately represent color, pattern, and print.
Assist the Design team in preparing sketches and boards for presentation meetings by hand and in Adobe Illustrator.
Organize samples into categories for easy reference during meetings and working sessions.
Update tech packs in the PLM system.
