About The Position

The Women's Club Field Hockey Coach coaches, manages, and develops a competitive Club Field Hockey team (non-varsity). The successful candidate will maintain and demonstrate a positive, collaborative spirit to work with the team, and a passion for the sport. Requirements

Prior experience coaching and playing competitive field hockey (preferably college-level) required.
Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with players
Ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 30 lbs.) and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.
Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow professionals.
Ability to function independently, display strong attention to detail, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Current participation in recreational league (as coach or player) preferred.
Working knowledge of league bylaws and regulations or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates effective teaching methods and possesses excellent leadership.
Designs coaching strategies and develops cohesive team mentality.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with student athletes.
Ensures the medical safety of all participants in collaboration with outside Athletic Trainers and Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
Administers and plans, in collaboration with club student leaders, all aspects of the field hockey program adhering to league and department compliance.
Communicates injuries and reports incidents to the Student Activities department.
Present at all on- and off-campus games during regular season(s), as well as twice-weekly practices (15-20 weeks total).
