About The Position

This class explores how politics can both support and challenge gender inequalities in local, national and global settings, and assesses how women's activism and strategies impact policy, access to rights, and social justice. Issues addressed in the class may include microfinance, affirmative action, land rights, and girls' education.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course PO320/WS320: Women, Gender and Politics.
  • Deliver lectures in-person.
  • Manage a class size of approximately 40 students.
  • Assess applications based on the Candidate Application Form (CAF), Curriculum Vitae, and any specifically referenced pages in supplemental documents.
  • Mark and grade assignments.
  • Coordinate large classes or multi-section courses if applicable.
