About The Position

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy WMS Receiving / QC Inspection Specialist to join our logistics and operations team. This role is responsible for managing the intake, inspection, and system tracking of incoming materials while ensuring compliance with industry and organizational quality standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting operational efficiency, and safeguarding product quality across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, and/or quality inspection within a manufacturing or technical environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data and materials
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a warehouse or operational environment and use a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to approximately 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Capability to operate or learn material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks or forklifts)

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications or technical training preferred
  • Familiarity with industry quality standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO or similar)
  • Experience working with technical components in a regulated or high-precision environment
  • Certification or training in specialized handling procedures or inspection standards
  • Exposure to ERP systems and advanced warehouse operations

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and related documentation
  • Accurately record and track inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS), RF scanners, and related tools
  • Assign storage locations based on inventory requirements, handling needs, and system guidelines
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies such as shortages, overages, or damaged goods in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Perform detailed visual and basic dimensional inspections on incoming materials to ensure compliance with established quality standards
  • Review and validate supporting documentation including certificates and inspection records
  • Identify and quarantine non-conforming or suspect materials and document findings in system tools
  • Support material rejection processes and maintain accurate records of non-conformances
  • Handle and store sensitive materials in accordance with established handling and compliance guidelines
  • Monitor shelf-life-controlled inventory, ensuring proper labeling, tracking, and rotation practices
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment aligned with operational best practices
