About The Position

Quantum Space is redefining mobility and autonomy in cislunar and geostationary space. Our Ranger spacecraft deliver high delta‑V and on‑orbit maneuverability that enable customers to access, operate, and persist in orbits previously out of reach. We’re building the infrastructure, vehicles, and operational expertise that connect and protect assets across the Earth–Moon system. Quantum Space is seeking a hands-on Receiving and Inspection Technician to support shipping, receiving, incoming hardware inspection, inventory control, and material flow for spacecraft development and manufacturing. This role works directly with engineers, quality, and operations to ensure critical flight hardware and materials are received, inspected, tracked, and handled with rigor and diligence. This is a hardware-forward role and is ideal for someone who wants to be close to parts, hardware, and engineers, not just spreadsheets.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in receiving, inspection, inventory control, manufacturing operations, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience working within inventory management, ERP, or material tracking systems.
  • Ability to work closely with engineers to ensure materials and hardware are properly received, documented, and available for integration and test activities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, hardware-driven environment.
  • Clear and professional communication skills with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, space, defense, or other complex hardware manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or spacecraft components and BOMs.
  • Experience supporting R&D, prototype builds, or low-rate production.
  • Background working at a startup or small, fast-moving engineering company.
  • Experience with material traceability, inventory audits, and quality inspection processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shipping and receiving activities that directly support spacecraft development and manufacturing.
  • Ensure hardware, materials, and components are accurately received, inspected, documented, and routed to the appropriate teams.

  • Perform incoming inspections and verify compliance with documentation, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability throughout the hardware lifecycle.

  • Improve receiving, inspection, inventory, and material handling processes as the company scales.
