Wiring Assembler - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Wiring Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems, LLC. assembles wire harnesses and electronic assemblies for electrical systems and equipment. The work involves reading electrical wiring schemes and assembly instructions, binding wires with sleeves, cable lacing, cable ties, and electrical conduits, and inspecting and measuring parts while conducting quality-control tests. This is an on-site position in Aurora, Ohio. The assembler is responsible for the quality of their work, maintaining an orderly work area, and caring for hand tools. The role also includes providing supervisors with feedback to help improve quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Work experience with electronics or wiring.
- Ability to read and follow simple assembly diagrams and procedures.
- Ability to use simple electronic test tools, such as continuity testers and cable testers.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
- Good eyesight and ability to work with small parts and tools.
- Attention to detail and desire to produce high-quality work.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent credentials.
Nice To Haves
- Work experience assembling electronic modules.
- Work experience assembling electronic wire harnesses.
- Basic understanding of electricity.
Responsibilities
- Assemble kits of small parts into electronic assemblies using instructions and hand tools.
- Complete final assembly of wire harnesses from machine-made sub-assemblies according to standard procedures.
- Sort, label, and package electronic assemblies and harnesses.
- Take ownership of the quality of work output.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Care for, lubricate, and clean hand tools.
- Provide supervisors with feedback to improve quality and efficiency.
- Inspect and measure parts and conduct quality-control tests.
