About The Position

Gables Engineering Inc., a HEICO company, is an industry leader in custom avionics controls and related products. Wiring Assemblers wire and assemble PC boards using outline and wiring drawings, then assemble units or panels according to established documentation and shop orders. The role requires reading assembly drawings and work instructions, soldering, collaboration, and basic English language skills. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of assembly-related experience are required; manufacturing-environment assembly experience is highly preferred.

This is light work. Most essential functions are performed while sitting, with occasional walking and standing. The role may require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently to move objects. Manual dexterity and repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions are required. Visual acuity is needed to inspect boards for small defects, work with small parts and measurement devices, and assemble or fabricate parts close to the eyes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of assembly-related experience.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and work instructions.
• Proficiency with a soldering iron.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels.
• Basic English language skills.

• Assembly-related experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Confirm that parts listed on the drawing match the shop order and are included in the stock room kit.
• Install switches and connectors on PC boards.
• Lace wires to switches and connectors according to established documentation.
• Solder wires in place as required.
• Complete PC board assemblies for inspection and testing.
• Assemble units and panels using established documentation and all parts provided in the shop order.
