About The Position

WidePoint Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Wireless Telecom Financial Analyst to join their team in Columbus, OH. This role operates within a fast-paced and demanding environment typical of a publicly-traded company. The analyst will perform audits of WidePoint's Wireless Telecom financial and information systems to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines, and to assess the effectiveness of internal controls. A key focus of this role is auditing Wireless invoices and contracts to verify correct billing rates and to secure all applicable contract incentives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent on job experience.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting, reporting, and accounting software.
• Knowledge of information systems security.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Wireless Telecommunication billing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audits WidePoint's financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy and consistency.
• Audits WidePoint's information systems, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements.
• Audits invoices and contracts to ensure the correct rate is billed and all possible contract incentives are obtained.
• Reviews internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness.
• Drafts and presents reports of findings and analysis; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to accounting practices and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
