About The Position

STRATA Networks is seeking a skilled Wireless CO Technician to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications and network equipment. This hands-on position supports daily network operations, monitors network performance, responds to alarms and trouble reports, and helps ensure reliable service for STRATA customers.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of telecommunications technologies such as T1, OC3, and SS7.
  • Knowledge of IP networks and routing.
  • Working knowledge of wireless technologies including LTE, VoLTE, Voice over Wi-Fi, and 5G.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows servers and virtual environments such as VMware or OpenStack.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to successfully complete a required drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain copper and fiber connections.
  • Install and troubleshoot telecommunications, wireless, and network equipment.
  • Monitor network performance and respond to alarms and trouble tickets.
  • Test and turn up new services.
  • Install DC power and work with AC/DC power systems.
  • Use network testing equipment, hand tools, power tools, and specialty equipment.
  • Install and manage virtual machines in virtual environments.
  • Work with Windows and Linux servers.
  • Complete service orders, worksheets, and repair tickets.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow STRATA safety procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, varying shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
