About The Position

The client is located in the Addison, IL area and has an opportunity for a Wire Drawer in the electronics/cable manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be working from an operations sheet to set up and operate various wire drawing and accessory equipment, with the exception of straight draw bench #2239 and large bull block #2240. This is a direct hire, on-site role.

Requirements

• 2+ years working in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to pass a basic math test.
• Ability to set up equipment using specified drawings, speeds, dies, lubricants.
• Ability to operate any equipment for the required number of passes and reduce material to desired diameters.
• Understanding of tight tolerances.
• Ability to perform dimensional checks using micrometers.
• Ability to perform cleaning, degreasing, polishing, coiling, swaging, and straightening operations.
• Must be able to label parts and keep in lot numbers.
• Ability to use ruler, tapes, and micrometers.
• Must understand diameters.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various wire drawing and accessory equipment (excluding straight draw bench #2239 and large bull block #2240).
