The Boeing Company's Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Seat Wire Integration (SWI) Electrical Design organization is seeking an experienced Wiring Design and Installation Engineer in North Charleston, SC. This role is crucial in defining the future of commercial aerospace through innovative ideas that advance the company's culture of safety and quality. The position focuses on developing and maintaining electrical product detail, assembly, and installation designs, with a particular emphasis on critical electrical cable/wire harness installation, detail, and assembly designs. This includes defining the physical routing layout of wires throughout the aircraft, considering requirements such as wire supports, separation for safety, proper parts selection, and environmental impacts on wire harness systems, all while prioritizing safety and quality. The engineer will also be responsible for developing and analyzing engineering design dispositions on discrepancies, collaborating with factory floor partners to ensure efficient and safe build processes, and improving documented processes, specifications, and procedures. Additionally, the role involves developing basic statements of work, participating in technical reviews of supplier capabilities, analyzing functional and physical requirements for integrated designs and system architecture, and actively supporting critical analysis and design reviews.
