About The Position

Spanish Peaks is a private community situated on 3,500 acres nestled at 7,700 feet in stunning Big Sky, Montana. We are about 50 miles away from Bozeman, Belgrade, and West Yellowstone, MT. The Youth Activities Attendant assists with the daily operations of the Youth Activities Department including but not limited to Youth Programs and Events, Club Activities, and Mountain Activities.

Requirements

  • High Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • One-year prior experience as a guide or other related experience.
  • Knowledge of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, Custer & Gallatin National Forest, Beaverhead National Forest (natural history of the area, local flora and fauna) preferred.
  • Current First Aid/AED/CPR certification or ability to obtain.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Fluency in English.
  • Highly organized and flexible.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and relate to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Self-starter; able to carry out diverse duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to create activities for all ages.
  • Knowledge of hotel, resort and/or club operations preferred.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekend, evenings, and holidays.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate activities and events for children.
  • Work with children on educational/teaching programs that use the natural resources surrounding the resort.
  • Arts and crafts, and other programs will be daily activities that challenge the use of children’s imagination.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures for the Recreation/Youth Activities Department.
  • Ensure all children are participating in activities.
  • Greet guests and ensure that all information and release forms are accurately filled out by parent/guardian (if necessary).
  • Relay accurate information to members and guests.
  • Assist with special events, holiday activities, and year-round activities for Members and Guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
