Winter Seasonal Operator, Highway Maintenance (Class 1/3)
About The Position
Ledcor Highways Ltd. is offering winter seasonal road maintenance opportunities across Alberta from October 1st to April 30th with potential for year round employment. We are seeking enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals to help keep Alberta’s highways safe. You will be responsible for winter maintenance of Alberta highways, using various trucks and heavy equipment.
Requirements
- Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
- Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset, training provided
Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
- Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
- Work outside in all weather conditions
