Seasonal Operator, Highway Maintenance (Alaska Highway BC)
About The Position
Ledcor Highways Ltd. (LHL) is offering exciting road maintenance opportunities across Northern BC, providing year-round employment with contracts lasting up to three years. We are seeking enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals to help keep the Alaska highway safe. You will be responsible for winter and seasonal maintenance of The Alaska highways, using various heavy equipment.
Requirements
- Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
- Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
- Maintain Alaska Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
