About The Position

We are currently seeking a Windows Systems Administrator 3rd shift (9PM to 5AM) to join the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO) effort. This program is establishing a modern secure web service (SWS) operation as part of a state-of-the-art, highly automated platform capable of supporting a rapidly expanding customer population. This position is based in San Antonio, TX and is 100% on-site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of overall related experience with a Windows servers environment. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance is required for this position.
  • Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II, e.g Security+ce.
  • Comfortable working 24×7 shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Candidate may be asked to obtain CI Poly in future
  • Experience with configuration, troubleshooting and maintaining VMware environments.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and experience in other languages like Python.
  • Experience with application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
  • Proficient with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft-based infrastructure services.
  • Experience with System (hardware) and application (software) installation and configuration.
  • Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experienced with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners
  • TS/SCI w/CI Poly Preferred
  • Experience with AWS EC2, S3.
  • Candidates with a thorough knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP a plus.
  • Experience with a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy.
  • Linux OS experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments across physical and virtual infrastructure.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft-based infrastructure services.
  • Perform server installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor server performance, availability, capacity, and system health.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, and access controls.
  • Support virtualization platforms such as VMware.
  • Implement and maintain server backup and disaster-recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot operating-system, application, network, and server-related issues.
  • Apply security updates, hardening standards, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in incident response, change management, and infrastructure projects.
  • Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell where appropriate.
  • Provide escalation-level support for Windows infrastructure issues.
