About The Position

Maximus is seeking a Senior Windows Administrator to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows-based servers and systems. The role manages server infrastructure, troubleshoots issues, and helps ensure the reliability and security of the Windows environment. This is an onsite position at a government facility in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, requiring presence five days per week and an active Secret Security clearance. Candidates must live within commuting distance and participate in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs.

Requirements

Active Secret Security clearance.
At least 7 years of experience in the related field.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience with Windows-based systems, such as Windows 2008, 2012 R2, and 2016 R2.
Ability to work onsite five days per week at the government facility in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
Must reside within commuting distance of the worksite.
Must participate in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs.
Team-oriented, quick learner able to work proactively and independently in support of mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Windows-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure performance and reliability.
Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
Implement backup and restoration strategies to support high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot local and wide area network applications, including software development tools and operating systems.
Support mission-critical operations across geographically diverse locations, working proactively and independently as part of a team.
