Window Install and Service Lead
About The Position
The Window Install and Service Lead is a working lead who installs and services window products while directing the work of Window Install and Service I and II associates. The role oversees daily assignments and coordinates advanced installation activities to help ensure quality standards and production schedules are met. The position follows field supervisor instructions and manufacturer directions, tracks project time and materials, maintains and safely operates equipment, and provides quality customer service. The lead attends required training and cross-trains in other areas as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 4–6 years of window installation or service experience.
- Ability to read and use a measuring tape and other tools required for installation.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide and follow detailed instructions.
- Availability for overtime as needed.
- Strong teamwork and customer relationship skills.
Responsibilities
- Follow the field supervisor’s instructions regarding installation of window materials.
- Work with other installers to install assigned window products, in accordance with training.
- Follow manufacturer directions and warranty requirements when installing products.
- Track time and materials for each installation project as required.
- Maintain equipment in good order and report malfunctions to the field supervisor.
- Operate equipment safely and responsibly.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Attend required training on building-material technology and installation methods.
- Cross-train in other areas to expand knowledge and expertise.
- Maintain awareness of the work environment to produce error-free and damage-free results.
- Direct daily work assignments and coordinate advanced installation activities for fewer than 10 associates to help meet quality standards and production schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with company policies and standards and adhere to the company’s commitment to workplace safety.
