About The Position

The Floor Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all machine operators have the necessary materials to perform their jobs. This role also involves removing full boxes from winding machines and staging them on designated skids.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform minor machine repairs and adjustments.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to document issues and observations in a clear and organized manner.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and workload demands.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, especially with technical braiding equipment.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine checks of each braider during every shift to ensure optimal performance and adherence to production standards.
Identify and address potential issues before they impact quality or efficiency.
Monitor production for quality issues and ensure finished products meet established specifications.
Collaborate with quality control and production teams to address defects or inconsistencies.
Perform minor machine repairs and adjustments to maintain continuous operation.
Escalate major repair needs to the maintenance team in a timely manner.
Walk the production floor regularly to provide support, answer questions, and address concerns from machine operators.
Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and process improvement.
Document issues, repairs, and observations clearly and accurately in logs or reports.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless workflow.
Demonstrate a helpful and collaborative attitude by assisting team members as needed.
Adapt to changing priorities and production needs with flexibility and a positive approach.
