About The Position

The Floor Tech will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of floor care duties for C&W Services. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services.

Requirements

Experience as a floor care technician
Must be able to take direction, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.
Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
Use floor buffer, floor burnisher, rider scrubber, auto-scrubber, carpet spotter, carpet extractor, floor cleaning and finishing equipment.
Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Responsibilities

Sweep & mop floors, and other surfaces.
Use light and heavy (commercial type) floor machines and shampoo machines including attachments.
Spot clean carpet daily and shampoo when directed.
Monitors possible defects and reports to supervisors.
Performs work: strip and refinish VCT, extract carpet, top scrub and recoat VCT, operate rider scrubber in plant area and additional floor duties as needed.
Implementing and maintaining janitorial procedures and programs for areas assigned
Review janitorial procedures and recommend changes as needed
Build the team by developing hourly janitorial team members
