About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Windchill Integration Developer to design, build, and operate integrations connecting PTC Windchill with ERP, MES, CAD, and other engineering and manufacturing systems. The role owns the technical integration layer between Windchill and the broader enterprise systems landscape. The successful candidate will bring hands-on Windchill integration experience and knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, middleware platforms, and PLM-to-ERP data flows. The developer will collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into well-engineered solutions. The position also includes code and design reviews and mentorship of junior engineers. Bright Vision Technologies describes itself as a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Ten or more years of PLM integration experience, with a strong focus on Windchill.
  • Hands-on experience with InfoEngine and the Windchill Java API.
  • Experience designing PLM-to-ERP integrations, including SAP or Oracle.
  • Working knowledge of CAD integration patterns.
  • Experience with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, OIC, or SAP CPI.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with the Windchill data model.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • PTC Windchill certifications.
  • Experience with ThingWorx or IIoT integration.
  • Exposure to API management platforms.
  • Familiarity with event-driven and Kafka-based integration patterns.
  • Experience operating Windchill in the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop integrations between Windchill and ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle EBS, and Oracle Cloud, using InfoEngine, web services, and middleware platforms.
  • Build CAD integrations for Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Catia, and NX with Windchill, including check-in/check-out workflows and metadata mapping.
  • Develop integrations between Windchill and MES, MOM, and quality systems.
  • Build REST and SOAP services for Windchill data using OData, InfoEngine, or custom Java services.
  • Implement message-based and event-driven integrations using middleware such as MuleSoft, Boomi, OIC, and SAP CPI.
  • Design and operate error-handling, alerting, and resubmission patterns, ensuring solutions are durable, documented, and aligned with team and platform standards.
  • Profile and optimize high-volume integration performance using measurement and data-driven validation to improve throughput, latency, or resource efficiency.
  • Lead migration of legacy point-to-point integrations to modern middleware-mediated patterns, planning phased cutovers, adding backward-compatibility shims when needed, and ensuring steps are reversible and monitored.
  • Collaborate with PLM, ERP, and CAD functional teams to align integrations with business processes.
  • Develop integration documentation, message specifications, and runbooks.
  • Provide post-go-live and hypercare support, triage incidents with operations teams, identify root causes, and drive fixes that improve system stability.
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through code review, design review, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Evaluate emerging integration tools and patterns and recommend whether to adopt, pilot, or defer them based on engineering needs, maturity, fit, and total cost of ownership.
