The Technician III, Lead utilizes proficiency of skills, equipment knowledge, and primarily self-direction to perform work on assigned wind turbines with minimal to no supervision. The Technician III is able to modify (improve, correct) procedures and plans including safety protocol, turbine service, and/or installation processes. They take appropriate action from general direction and can successfully develop / implement robust action plans based upon performance analysis and issue diagnosis of wind plant equipment. The Technician III is regarded as an "advanced-level" team member on the technician team providing technical direction / oversight and mentorship to lower level technicians. They are recognized and respected as either a multi-platform generalist or possess platform technical depth. The Technician III is able to handle all but the most challenging technical issues and customer inquiries independently with appropriate account team coordination / communications. The Service Technician role is to maintain and troubleshoot complex hydraulic and electrical controls circuits to maintain a wind turbine. The customer relies on our safe work practices, technical acumen, teamwork, leadership and fiscal stewardship to maintain the turbines in their best condition to generate power at the lowest overall cost.
