About The Position

The Site Lead has responsibilities similar to a Lead Technician and assists the Plant Manager with day-to-day operation and maintenance of utility-scale wind plants. The role is typically used at larger sites or when a Plant Manager oversees multiple sites. Working under the Plant Manager’s guidance, the Site Lead assists with turbine and balance-of-plant work, administrative tasks, and leadership of site personnel. Administrative work may include preparing weekly and monthly reports, SAP functions, Domina G downtime reporting, leading the plan of the day, and contracting work. The position is non-exempt and in almost all cases reports directly to a Plant Manager. The Site Lead helps ensure safe, reliable, economical, and proactive plant operations; supports asset optimization and profitability within engineering, procedural, and permitting requirements; and contributes to site safety, training, operational planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement. The role may temporarily perform Plant Manager duties in the manager’s absence.
