About The Position

The Wildlife Database Specialist (Specialist), under direction of the Manager Wildlife Research (Manager), will lead the development of data management services. These services include developing relational and other databases, capturing wildlife data, conducting data quality management and archiving, developing data access applications, maintaining data integrity and improving data flow processes from the data sources to the end users. The Specialist will be responsible for the development of data administration policies and protocols to ensure that data collection/handling protocols meet Wildlife Research Section needs and are consistent with legislative requirements (privacy, intellectual property and copyright concerns) under the Nunavut Agreement.
