About The Position

MOC’s mission is to empower families to achieve economic security by eliminating barriers and creating opportunities. To alleviate poverty, we deliver a variety of services including childcare, education, workforce development, nutrition, health, and community and housing support. The WIC Program Assistant is responsible for assisting WIC participants and other staff members with various daily tasks, ensuring that all administrative functions are fully supported.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year's general office experience with proficient computer skills
  • Sensitivity to the needs of the participant population
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work at multiple WIC sites and during program clinic hours, as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in health care or community facility preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Screen applicant inquiries for eligibility
  • Manage appointment scheduling/rescheduling including reminder phone calls
  • Greet and triage participants to appropriate staff
  • Oversee flow of applicants/participants in waiting area
  • Clerical duties as required
