Requirements

  • Use of an industrial powered truck such as a forklift and box clamp lift.
  • Ability to visually inspect the forklift or clamp truck at the beginning of shift to ensure all safety devices such as brakes, mirrors and horns are in proper working order.
  • Ability to log in to the R/F inventory control system to use in scanning product when pulling or putting away orders.
  • Ability to store product physically as well as in the inventory control system.
  • Ability to retrieve product from warehouse bays and transfer the product to a staging area to be double counted, checked for mixed product and prepared for shipment.
  • Ability to physically load verified product into the appropriate trailer for shipment.
  • Ability to turn in paperwork to the shipping clerk to enter the information for a bill of lading for the driver.
  • Ability to attach seal to shipments as needed.
  • Ability to unload finished goods from other facilities from the trailer and transfer the product to a staging area.
  • Ability to double count and verify finished goods, checking for accuracy of the product.
  • Ability to input information into the R/F system for received goods.
  • Ability to turn in corresponding paperwork to the receiving clerk for received goods.
  • Ability to perform safety checklist when loading/unloading product.
  • Ability to pull/wrap product to be loaded for distribution.
  • Understand, perform and promote plant and company safety practices, policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all safety standards.
  • Remain focused on safety throughout the shift and perform all work in a safe manner without taking shortcuts.
  • Report injuries immediately to your supervisor and any potential safety hazards observed.
  • Comply with all quality standards.
  • Produce quality product by not accepting defective material into work center, not making defective products at work station, not passing defects to internal customers and by reporting potential quality issues.
  • Comply with all sanitation standards.
  • Practice good sanitation and housekeeping practicing to maintain the appearance and condition of the operating facility.

Responsibilities

  • Pulling orders of product from bays (within the warehouse area) and load the product into trucks to being shipped to the customer.
  • Unload product from trucks to be stored in bays within the warehouse area using an industrial powered truck such as a forklift and box clamp lift.
  • Verify accuracy of all incoming and outgoing product.
  • Stencil product for identification of customers to prevent product from being lost in other freight terminals.
  • Verify bay accuracy of product and match with the inventory control system.
