About The Position

This role is responsible for various tasks within a shipping and receiving environment, including customer service, order preparation, shipment receiving, and maintaining a clean workspace. The position requires a safety-first mindset and the ability to handle heavy parts and loads. The employee will frequently encounter moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and varying weather conditions, with occasional exposure to wet conditions, heights, and electrical hazards. The work environment is typically loud.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to work independently.
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Requires the employee to use common sense and safety-first mindset due to lifting and hoisting heavy parts and loads.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in an industrial setting or use of production equipment is beneficial education.
Prior knowledge of material handling using pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists, or overhead cranes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Operate hoist, forklifts, and parts-moving vehicles safely.
Load and unload freight trucks and parcel vans daily.
Assist in receiving parts, taking pictures, and completing associated paperwork.
Daily make boxes and pallets, and band parts.
Daily label customer's boxes or pallets with WO #, P.O.# and company name.
Operate grit blaster as needed.
Load and unload oven.
Perform assembly and disassembly of parts as needed.
Daily clean parts.
Daily move parts between departments.
Daily paint finished parts.
Daily perform additional tasks as instructed.
Other duties as assigned.
