About The Position

S&S Tire is seeking a warehouse associate who can also serve as a backup driver. The role combines warehouse receiving, order preparation, inventory support, equipment operation, and delivery duties. It involves manual labor, including lifting tires weighing up to 150 pounds, and requires frequent bending, twisting, and lifting. The backup driver operates a 16- to 28-foot box truck, provides customer service, and completes delivery, collection, inspection, and vehicle-log tasks. The position offers pay based on experience, with typical starting pay of $17.00 per hour and a 90-day training bump. Frequent overtime is noted.

Requirements

Desire and ability to work in a warehouse environment.
Ability to lift and/or move tires with or without mechanical assistance.
Ability to perform frequent bending, twisting, and lifting.
Ability to place received and shipping products properly in the warehouse.
Willingness and ability to operate warehouse-related equipment.
At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
Good safety record, with no more than 3 violations in the last 3 years.
Valid driver's license in good standing.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-service-oriented environment.
Attention to detail.
Commitment to being on time.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, check, and tally tires to and from carrier trailer trucks.
Select, pack, count, mark, and palletize tires for customer orders and place them in assigned staging areas using the bin locator system.
Check and verify the accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting tires for customer orders.
Operate order pickers, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed, while following safety guidelines.
Complete required counting, tallying, and marking on inventory control documents.
Participate in cycle and/or annual physical inventories.
Palletize, re-palletize, and restack tires safely.
Maintain compliance with company procedures and policies.
Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
Safely operate a 16- to 28-foot box truck to deliver products.
Collect payment from customers for merchandise delivered on a Cash on Delivery basis.
Identify prospective customers along the designated route and provide the information to the Store Manager for sales follow-up.
Ensure the vehicle is in good mechanical operating condition.
Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections at the beginning of each work day and promptly report operating problems or mechanical defects to the Warehouse Manager or designee.
Complete all driver and vehicle maintenance logs.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
