About The Position

Kelley Automotive Group is seeking a Wholesale Parts Driver to join their Parts Department. This role is responsible for delivering and picking up parts and equipment for the dealership and Kelley Auto Parts. The driver will ensure accurate deliveries and pickups, maintain a professional appearance, and assist with general upkeep of the Parts Department. This is a physically demanding position that involves driving company vehicles for extended periods and handling parts of varying weights.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Ability to lift/move 25 lbs. consistently and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be at least 21 years or older.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to use a computer and calculator.
  • Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, and vendors.
  • Ensure all items delivered to the customer match the items charged on the invoice.
  • Pick up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores, and vendors.
  • Ensure items picked up match the items listed on the paperwork.
  • Coordinate pick up and delivery with Parts Manager, Assistant Parts Manager, and/or Wholesale Parts Manager.
  • Maintain a courteous and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Help maintain the professional appearance of the Parts Department.
  • Report all customer concerns/complaints to the Wholesale Parts Manager or the Parts Manager.
  • Ensure all delivery invoices are signed per Parts Department guidelines and that all dealership copies of the invoices are returned to the designated location and accounted for.
  • Monitor the delivery vehicle and report any needed maintenance or repair to the Parts Manager or the Wholesale Parts Manager.
  • Fill the fuel tank of the delivery vehicle as you return to the designated location from your last delivery of the day.
  • Ensure the delivery vehicle is empty of all parts/equipment and parked in the appropriate parking spot with the doors locked at the end of your shift.
  • Take all trash from the Parts Department to the dumpster once per shift.
  • Take all cardboard from the Parts Department to the cardboard dumpster once per shift.
  • Sweep warehouse area floors when downtime allows.
  • Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by Management.
