About The Position

Metro Moulded Parts is seeking a driven, phone-first wholesale account manager to grow its B2B business. This role involves managing a book of wholesale accounts, including parts distributors, restoration shops, and specialty retailers. It is an inside sales position with a heavy emphasis on phone activity, requiring proactive engagement to build relationships, grow existing accounts, reactivate dormant ones, and prospect for new business. The position is not passive order-taking; it requires initiative to drive growth.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of B2B inside sales or account management experience
  • Wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Genuine enjoyment of being on the phone (this is a phone-heavy role)
  • Experience managing 50+ accounts
  • CRM proficient, organized, and accountable
  • Strong communicator on the phone and in writing
  • Personable, prompt, and professional

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive aftermarket, classic car, or parts distribution experience
  • Knowledge of classic American cars (Chevy, Ford, Mopar, etc.)
  • ERP or order management system experience

Responsibilities

  • Make 15 to 20+ outbound calls per day to wholesale accounts and prospects
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of B2B wholesale accounts
  • Prospect and open new wholesale accounts
  • Provide product support on fitment and applications (training provided)
  • Walk wholesale customers through technical fitment questions and help with part selection
  • Maintain account records and notes in our systems
  • Send quotes, follow up on pending orders, and resolve issues
  • Participate in weekly pipeline and account review meetings
