Parts Wholesale Manager
About The Position
We're actively looking for a Parts Wholesale Manager to lead one of the most exciting opportunities in the Houston market - Parkway Chevrolet in Tomball, Tx. Job Summary: Strives to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. Accomplishes objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising. Maintains proper reporting and financial controls; and ensuring adherence to all practices and policies required to meet all of these objectives. About Us: Parkway is locally owned and operated. We have been in the Houston area for more than 40 years. We have three locations… Parkway Chevrolet, Parkway Family Kia, and Parkway Family Mazda. We operate elite, state-of-the-art service departments.
Requirements
- GM experience is highly recommended for this position. Other domestic large dealer experience will be considered as well.
- Proven experience in automotive parts wholesale management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
- Ability to commute/relocate: Tomball, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Responsibilities
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all parts wholesale staff.
- Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
- Solicits assigned accounts by phone.
- Participates in all training programs that are made available.
- Keeps current on new products and product updates.
- Participates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
