About The Position

Seneca Foods in Geneva, NY is currently seeking a WH- Pallet Repair person to join our team. Seneca Foods is one of North America's leading providers of packaged fruits and vegetables with facilities located throughout the United States. Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements.

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend instructions.
• Ability to use skilled hand tools (electric saws, air powered nail gun)
• Ability to use small hand tools (hammer, crowbar)
• Ability to use Sky Hook to stack pallets.
• One to 3 months experience and/or training
• Mechanical experience helpful
• Requires to sit, talk, hear, walk, climb, stoop, knell or squat and/or lift up to 50lbs.
• Constant walking/standing on concrete floors, elevated surfaces.
• Physical ability and knowledge to use skilled hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the sorting of repairable and non-repairable pallets.
• Repair the repairable pallets with skilled tools and simple tools
• Sort pallets into groups; repairable and non-repairable.
• Add boards or stringers to repairable pallets using tools.
• Stack all pallets in neat orderly stacks.
• Maintain proper housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.
