About The Position

Miller Industries is seeking a Wet Spray Painter for its first shift at its Burton, Michigan location. The role applies liquid coatings to various surfaces using spray-painting equipment, producing high-quality finishes that meet company standards and client specifications. The stated schedule is 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime as required for production on weekends.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as a wet spray painter.
Strong knowledge of wet spray-painting techniques, materials, and equipment.
Excellent color-matching and blending skills.
Ability to operate and maintain spray-painting equipment safely and effectively.
Ability to follow directions, produce quality work, and maintain a safe work environment.
Ability to work as part of a team and perform without supervision.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and, when needed to wear a respirator, be clean-shaven and successfully complete a medical evaluation and fit test.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as necessary.
Operate and maintain wet spray-painting equipment, including spray guns, pumps, and hoses.
Mix paints and other coatings to specified colors and viscosities.
Apply liquid coatings to a variety of materials, ensuring even coverage and a smooth, consistent finish.
Inspect finished products for defects such as runs, drips, and blemishes, and perform necessary touch-ups.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
