About The Position

JENNMAR Canada is a leading manufacturer and supplier of ground control products for the Canadian mining and tunneling industries, including bolts, resin, steel supports, and related engineered solutions. The Western Technical Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by combining technical expertise with strategic sales leadership. This role leads the technical sales process, supports the sales team with product knowledge and solution development, builds and maintains strong customer relationships, and ensures customer requirements are translated into effective technical and operational solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in technical sales, mining, ground control, tunneling, industrial manufacturing, or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of mining ground support systems and technical product applications.
  • Demonstrated success in solution-based selling and customer relationship management within industrial or mining environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Western Canada and customer mining sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet customer site access and safety requirements.

  • College degree in mining engineering, geological engineering, civil engineering, industrial technology, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and market expansion across Western Canada within the mining and tunneling sectors by managing customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and monitoring market trends and competitive activity.
  • Lead and support the technical sales process from initial customer engagement through proposal development, product selection, solution design, pricing, contract support, and implementation of ground control systems, including bolts, resin, steel supports, and related mining support products.
  • Develop and deliver customized technical solutions that meet customer operational, geotechnical, safety, and performance requirements while providing technical expertise, troubleshooting support, product evaluations, and application recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular site visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, training sessions, and ongoing customer support.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, manufacturing, customer service, and management teams to ensure successful execution of customer requirements, project deliverables, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, forecasts, and project updates using company systems and reporting tools.
  • Represent JENNMAR Canada at industry events, trade shows, mining conferences, and customer meetings while ensuring compliance with all company policies, safety standards, mining regulations, and customer site requirements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time in its sole discretion.
